The 25th Bayeux-Calvados War Correspondents Prize event singled out two AFP photojournalists. Mahmud Hams received the first prize in the Photo category while Juan Barreto is awarded with the third prize.

From September 1 to 16 the international photo festival Visa Pour l’Image will pay tribute to AFP photographers in Africa with exhibitions featuring the work of John Wessels in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Luis Tato’s coverage of the Kenyan elections and an evening screening of Mohamed Abdiwahab’s coverage of Somalia.
